"..but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Open Circuit

Open Circuit, a get together for people from all the churches in the Circuit, takes place each Wednesday. Coffee and tea are served from 10.30 am and an informal time of devotion is held at 11.15 am.

On the first Wednesday of the month, Communion is celebrated and a soup and sandwich Christian Aid Lunch follows. There is also a Traidcraft stall on this day.

Baking bread with Deacon Ann Shephard at Open Circuit. This form of worship was begun at 'Somewhere Else' in inner city Liverpool

Prayer Breakfast

A Prayer Breakfast is held monthly on Saturday Morning at 9 am. People remembered on our ‘Prayer Tree’ are also prayed for at this meeting. We are always happy to add names to the Prayer Tree on request. E-mail or phone the Church. Finally of course   everyone present tucks in to a welcome breakfast.

Singing

Sadly, the Church no longer boasts its own choir, but there are two choirs which practise in the church, making use of the excellent baby grand piano. So if singing is your thing, they are always glad to welcome new recruits.
Contact a choir

Of course, Methodism having been born in song, extra voices are always welcome in the hymn singing at our services - where we are accompanied by the organ. There are also various Circuit occasions throughout the year when temporary choirs are formed.

Rummikub

Rummikub normally meets monthly on Friday evening at 7.30 pm. Check dates on the diary. If you haven’t tried the game before, it is based on the card game Rummy, is fiendishly addictive and great fun. New players are always welcome

Ladies’ Fellowship

Ladies’ Fellowship meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 2.00pm. There is a programme of various activities and talks as well as tea and fellowship. New members are always welcome.

Churches Together

Northwich Methodist Church belongs to Northwich Churches Together.

 Together we join:

  • In a service which concludes the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January

  • In the Walk of Witness through the town on Good Friday

  • At the Dawn Vigil on Easter Sunday in Verdin Park

  • At the Pentecost Picnic in Marbury Park

  • In Study Groups in Lent and Autumn, meeting at different churches each week

As a church we are eager to encourage you to use whatever talents and skills you bring with you. Though no one is pressured to do things they do not feel led to do.
