DIARY
"..but
those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on
wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and
not be faint."
Isaiah

Open Circuit
Open Circuit, a get together for people from all the churches in the
Circuit, takes place each Wednesday. Coffee and tea are served from
10.30 am and an informal time of devotion is held at 11.15 am.
On the first Wednesday of the month, Communion is celebrated and a
frugal Christian Aid Lunch follows. There is also a Traidcraft
stall on this day.

Open Circuit just before Christmas. Rev Tom Stobart laid out tables
in the shape of a cross and celebrated communion with shortbread and
Schloer.
Get Fit While You Sit
These sessions of gentle stretching exercises are
normally held
weekly on Tuesdays at 2.30pm. Gentle these exercises may be but a number
of members report the benefits to health and wellbeing.
Unfortunately any lost calories are regained during the
tea with biscuits or cakes as we have a social time afterwards.
Singing
Sadly, the Church no longer boasts its own choir, but there are two
choirs which practise in the church, making use of the excellent baby
grand piano. So if singing is your thing, they are always glad to
welcome new recruits.
Contact
a choir
Of course, Methodism having been born in song, extra voices are
always welcome in the hymn singing at our services - where we are
accompanied by the organ. There are also various Circuit occasions throughout the year when temporary choirs are formed.

Born to Worship, the Circuit worship group sometimes do
a Sunday
service for us. Their mix of traditional and modern music, readings and
drama are much appreciated by the congregation.
As a church we are eager to encourage you to use whatever talents
and skills you bring with you. Though no one is pressured to
do things they do not feel led to do.

Christmas Shoeboxes

Just some of the people who came along to pack shoe boxes full
of toys and goodies to be distributed to needy children last Christmas.
Rummikub
Rummikub has been a moveable feast recently because of
increasing activities in church. Check dates on the diary.
If you haven’t
tried the game before, it is based on the card game Rummy, is
fiendishly addictive and great fun. New players are always welcome

After an 'Own Arrangements' Family Service
